Common Questions
Yes, Perivale is one of the more accessible areas we serve. The 1930s residential streets are wide with good kerb parking throughout most of the area. The main access roads via Western Avenue A40 and Bilton Road are straightforward, and the overall road network in Perivale is much easier to navigate than inner London areas.
Yes, all streets near Perivale station are within our service area. The residential areas on both sides of the Central line through Perivale are covered, including the streets near Horsenden Hill. All UB6 postcodes in Perivale are served at our standard rate.
Yes, Perivale location between Greenford, Ealing and Wembley makes cross-area moves very common for us. A move from Perivale to Ealing Broadway or Greenford typically takes just 2-3 hours, keeping costs to the minimum. We cover all these neighbouring areas at our standard hourly rates.
Yes, the 1930s semi-detached houses that make up most of Perivale housing stock are well-suited for removal work. They typically have wider hallways and staircases than Victorian terraces, good front access and driveways that can accommodate a van. These are among the most straightforward residential moves we carry out.
Yes, we accept last-minute and same-day bookings in Perivale when availability allows. Perivale is close to our base and we can often accommodate urgent moves more quickly here than for areas further afield. Call or WhatsApp us on 07897 383022 to check immediate availability.
Perivale UB6 is inside the expanded ULEZ zone (since August 2023), but our van is fully ULEZ-compliant — no ULEZ surcharge is passed on to you. Perivale is well outside the London Congestion Charge zone. Moves within Perivale and to surrounding areas like Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell and Acton will not incur any congestion charge. If your move travels into the zone — Westminster, the West End, the City or Bloomsbury — the charge is £18 per day as of 2 January 2026, and it now runs at weekends too: 07:00–18:00 Monday to Friday, 12:00–18:00 Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. Kensington and Chelsea are outside the zone despite feeling central. It is passed on at cost with no markup, and the vast majority of Perivale moves involve no charge at all.
Most Perivale residential streets have good kerb-side parking and a formal suspension is not needed. For restricted roads, Perivale falls under Ealing Council, which has one of the most lenient notice periods in London — just 3 working days' minimum, the shortest in London, and the cost is £39 per bay per day at 7 working days' notice or £50 at the 3-day minimum, with no admin fee. You apply as the occupier, since Ealing issues it against your address and vehicle registration — send us the reg and we will make sure the right van is named.
The Hoover Building on Western Avenue is one of London's finest examples of Art Deco industrial architecture, built in 1933 and now Grade II* listed. It has been converted into a Tesco superstore with apartments above — and we have carried out several moves from those residential units. The building's location on the A40 means parking for moves there requires careful planning, and we always assess access in advance for Hoover Building addresses.
Yes — Perivale is increasingly popular with families relocating from Ealing, Acton, Chiswick and inner West London looking for more space and better value. The 1930s semis offer excellent square footage, Horsenden Hill provides fantastic green space, and the Central line gives direct access to central London in under 30 minutes. We carry out many of these inner-to-outer moves and understand the timing pressures involved. We are available 7 days a week and can often accommodate your completion date at relatively short notice.
Yes — the Perivale Industrial Park and commercial estates on Bilton Road and the Westway Industrial Estate are all within our service area. We carry out office and commercial relocations in this area regularly, handling loading bays, goods lifts and business furniture. Early morning starts are recommended for commercial moves in this area to avoid A40 rush hour. Call us to discuss your specific requirements and we will put together an efficient plan.

We do both, with the same team. A man and van in Perivale is the right choice for a studio, a single room, a few items of furniture or a part-load — one man and a van at £50/hr, or two men at £65/hr, minimum two hours. Full house removals Perivale UB6 is the same service scaled up: two men, a full pack-and-load, furniture dismantling and reassembly, and protection for floors and doorways. Most semi-detached houses with driveways and easy loading access need the two-man option once you are past a one-bedroom flat, simply because of stair carries and the size of the furniture. We do not subcontract either service — the people who quote your Perivale removal are the people who turn up. If you are not sure which you need, send a photo or a room list and we will tell you honestly, including if the smaller option is enough. Parking suspensions in Perivale go through Ealing Council, and we will tell you exactly what to apply for.

About Our Service
London Moverz has been serving Perivale and West London since 2015. Based in Chiswick W4, we reach Perivale UB6 via the A40 Western Avenue — typically a 20 to 25 minute drive. Perivale is one of the most pleasant and straightforward areas we serve: wide roads, good parking, calm residential streets and the kind of well-proportioned 1930s housing stock that makes removal work genuinely efficient. Over nearly a decade we have built solid familiarity with Perivale's character and its particular position in West London — a quietly underrated suburb that consistently delivers good value and excellent quality of life.
Perivale UB6 occupies a gentle valley between the A40 to the north and Horsenden Hill to the south, following the course of the River Brent westward from Ealing. It is almost entirely a product of the 1930s — when the Central line extension brought the Underground to what had been farmland, and developers moved quickly to build the neat grid of semi-detached houses that define the area today. Aintree Road, Perivale Lane, Medway Drive and the surrounding streets are textbook interwar suburbia: solid construction, generous plots, good garden sizes and the kind of practical, well-proportioned layout that makes moving a pleasure rather than a struggle.
The 1930s semis of Perivale are among the easiest property types we work with across West London. Wide hallways, sensible staircase angles, front driveways for direct van access and good kerb-side parking on residential streets mean that move times are shorter and costs lower than equivalent moves from Victorian terraces in inner London. If you are moving from a Perivale semi, expect an efficient, uncomplicated job from our team.
Horsenden Hill — the large area of open space on Perivale's southern edge — is one of the best-kept secrets of outer West London. The properties along Horsenden Lane North and the streets immediately bordering the green space are particularly sought-after for the combination of space, greenery and Central line access they offer. Moves from these properties tend to be slightly longer carries due to the wider plot sizes and more generous room dimensions, but access and parking are excellent throughout. We cover all streets in this part of Perivale at our standard rates.
North of the A40, Perivale has a significant industrial and commercial zone — the Perivale Industrial Park and the commercial estates along Bilton Road and Westway Industrial Estate. The old Hoover Building on Western Avenue, one of London's finest Art Deco buildings, sits at the eastern edge of this zone. We carry out commercial removals and office relocations in this area regularly, working around loading bay requirements and often scheduling early morning starts to avoid A40 rush hour traffic.
Perivale UB6 falls within the expanded Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), which has covered all London boroughs since August 2023. Our van is fully ULEZ-compliant — there is no ULEZ surcharge passed on to you. Perivale is also well outside the London Congestion Charge zone. Moves within Perivale and to surrounding areas — Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Acton, Park Royal — will not incur any congestion charge. If your move requires travel into the Congestion Charge zone — Westminster, the West End, the City, Bloomsbury or Elephant and Castle — the charge is £18 per day as of 2 January 2026, its first rise since 2020. It now applies at weekends as well (07:00–18:00 Monday to Friday, 12:00–18:00 Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays), and is billed per calendar day, so a job running past midnight counts twice. Worth knowing that Kensington, Chelsea and Notting Hill are not in the zone despite feeling central — the Western Extension covering them was scrapped in 2011. We pass it on at cost with no markup, and for the overwhelming majority of Perivale moves no charges apply at all.
Perivale falls under Ealing Council, which has one of the most lenient parking suspension notice periods in West London — just 3 working days' minimum notice, against 10 working days in Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea, Richmond and Lambeth, and a minimum of five clear working days in Wandsworth. The cost is just as favourable: £39 per bay per day if you apply at least 7 working days ahead, or £50 at the 3-day minimum, with no separate admin or booking fee. That last point is where other boroughs quietly add up — the same single bay for one day costs £65 in Hounslow, £82 in Kensington and Chelsea, about £126 in Wandsworth and over £150 in Richmond and Lambeth once their admin fees are counted.
Three details from Ealing's terms worth knowing. A bay is 5 metres, so a long-wheelbase van usually needs two. The suspension applies 24 hours a day in resident bays rather than only during controlled hours, which protects an early start or a late finish. And cancellations need 2 working days' notice, with a £25 administration charge on any refund — and no refund at all if the bay was correctly signposted but someone parked in it anyway, so report that on 020 8825 6677 on the day rather than afterwards.
In practice most Perivale streets need none of this. The 1930s semis that make up the bulk of UB6 have driveways or generous kerb frontage, and there is almost always a legal loading point within a few metres of the door. Where a suspension is worth having, the application is made by you as the occupier rather than by us — Ealing issues it against the property address and the vehicle registration, so it has to come from the resident. Send us the registration when you book and we will make sure the correct van is named on it. One thing not to do: putting bins or cones out to hold a space is illegal, however normal it looks on the street.
We will be honest: Perivale is one of the most straightforward and cost-effective areas of West London to move in. The accessible roads, good parking, reasonable distances from our Chiswick base and the well-proportioned 1930s housing stock all combine to keep move times shorter than in many other parts of our service area — which on our hourly rate means your bill is typically lower too. Perivale customers consistently get excellent value from our service.
The Hoover Building on Western Avenue is Perivale's landmark and, since its conversion to apartments, a regular part of our UB6 work. Moving into or out of a listed Art Deco conversion is not the same job as moving into a 1930s semi two streets away, and it is worth knowing the difference before you book. Expect a managing agent who wants a Certificate of Insurance naming the building before the crew gets past reception, a lift that needs booking into a named slot, and an access route from the car park that is longer than it looks from the road. We send COI documentation as standard rather than waiting to be asked — give us the agent's details about a week ahead and Silvester handles the correspondence.
There is a further constraint particular to listed conversions: original features are protected, so there is no taking a door off its hinges or resting anything against period detailing in the communal areas. We bring corner protectors and door guards and use them on the shared routes as a matter of course, not on request. If your flat is on an upper floor and you own anything that was assembled in the room rather than carried in whole, say so at booking — it will need to leave in pieces and we would rather arrive with the tools than discover it on a landing.
The same applies, in a lighter form, to the newer blocks along Bilton Road and the Alperton side. Purpose-built flats are straightforward once you are inside, but the constraint is always the same three things: lift availability, a booked access window, and whether the loading point is at the door or fifty metres across a car park. Tell us the block name when you enquire and we will know within a minute whether a same-day booking is realistic.
Perivale is one of the easiest places in London to move, and it is worth explaining why rather than just asserting it. The bulk of UB6 is inter-war semi-detached and terraced housing built on generous plots along wide roads — the 1930s expansion that followed the Central line and the A40 out here. That gives you three things that matter on the day: a driveway or wide kerb directly outside, a level or near-level threshold rather than a raised Victorian doorstep, and staircases with proper half-landings instead of the tight top turn that defines the Victorian terraces in Earlsfield or Fulham. A three-seater sofa that would need dismantling in SW18 usually walks straight out of a Perivale semi.
The result is that our estimates hold here more reliably than almost anywhere we work, and the two-hour minimum genuinely covers a small job rather than being a floor you sail past. Two exceptions worth flagging at booking. Loft conversions are common in Perivale and are the one place in an otherwise easy house where a wardrobe can defeat you. And a handful of the roads backing onto Horsenden Hill and the Brent valley have rear access or garage lanes that a satnav does not show — if yours does, that is good news and worth mentioning, because it can shorten the carry considerably.
On timing, the A40 Western Avenue runs straight through Perivale and is entirely predictable: eastbound towards Acton and central London it seizes from roughly 7:30 to 9:30 and again from 4pm. We aim to be loaded and away before the first of those, or hold until after. That is also why we can reach most UB6 addresses from our Chiswick base in about 20 minutes outside peak — the A40 works in our favour when it is moving, and we take the quieter route up through Hanwell and Greenford when it is not.
For a full house rather than a van and a couple of hours, see house removals London, and packing services if you would rather not pack yourself. Where completion dates do not line up we can hold a load and storage in London covers longer gaps. Pianos are quoted separately on our piano movers page, and business moves around the Perivale and Bilton Road industrial estates are on our office removals page.
Since 2015 we have brought the same owner-operated, punctual, fully insured service to Perivale that we deliver everywhere we work. Whether you need a full house removal, a man and van for a smaller load, or an office relocation from the Perivale Industrial Park, we cover all UB6 postcodes and are fully insured for both domestic and commercial moves.
We regularly serve all surrounding areas including Ealing W5, Greenford UB6, Hanwell W7, Acton W3 and Park Royal NW10.
