Almost all of it sits outside the Congestion Charge zone, and parking permits range from £39 in Ealing to over £150 in Richmond, so we tell you which side of a boundary you are on before you spend. Local Experts Since 2015
London Moverz is based in Chiswick W4 — the heart of West London — and has been carrying out removal services across the W, TW and UB postcode areas since 2015. We are not a national franchise or a call centre operation that passes your job to the nearest available driver. We are a small, owner-operated West London removal company with nearly a decade of experience across every area and property type in this part of the city.
Knowing the ULEZ boundary, which W postcodes are outside the Congestion Charge zone, and how parking restrictions vary from Ealing Council's 3-day suspensions to RBKC's 10-day process — that knowledge keeps West London moves on schedule.
West London is one of the most varied removal markets in the country. Within a 10-mile radius of our Chiswick base you can find: the grand stucco townhouses of Kensington and Notting Hill, where the carry is long and the contents require the highest care; the 1930s semis of Ealing and Hanwell, wide roads and easy parking; the riverside apartments of Hammersmith and Richmond; and the industrial estates of Park Royal and Hayes.
Three roads dominate West London's traffic picture and directly affect every removal we carry out.
All West London is inside ULEZ — but our van is ULEZ-compliant, no surcharge. Virtually all W, TW and UB postcodes are outside the Congestion Charge zone. Only W1 and parts of W2 are inside.

Common Questions
We cover all West London postcodes including W1 through W14, plus the surrounding areas of TW1-TW13, UB1-UB6 and NW10. This includes Chiswick W4, Hammersmith W6, Ealing W5, Acton W3, Shepherd's Bush W12, Fulham SW6, Kensington W8, Notting Hill W11, Hounslow TW3, Richmond TW9, Twickenham TW1 and all surrounding boroughs.
No — we charge the same hourly rate regardless of which West London postcode you are in. The only thing that varies is the time taken, which depends on access, parking and the volume of your belongings. More central postcodes like W1 and W2 often require parking suspensions which we advise on when you book, but there is no premium on our hourly rate for these areas.
Yes, cross-borough moves within West London are our most common jobs — for example Chiswick to Fulham, Hammersmith to Clapham, or Ealing to Putney. We are equally familiar with all West London areas and can plan the most efficient route between your pickup and drop-off locations.
These three major arterial roads serve most of West London and can have significant congestion, particularly during morning and evening rush hours. We schedule moves to avoid peak congestion where possible, and our drivers know the best alternative routes through West London residential streets. For long-distance moves within West London, we aim to start loading before 9am to avoid the worst of the traffic.
Yes, we carry out long-distance moves from all West London areas to anywhere in the UK. For moves beyond London, we quote a fixed price based on the distance and volume of belongings. We have moved customers from West London to Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh and many other cities. Contact us for a free long-distance quote.
All West London postcodes fall within the expanded ULEZ zone (since August 2023), but our van is fully ULEZ-compliant — no ULEZ surcharge is passed on. On the Congestion Charge: virtually all West London postcodes are outside the CC zone. The western boundary is Park Lane and Edgware Road — not the A3220 — so W3 through W14, every TW and UB postcode, and Chelsea and Fulham too, all sit outside it. Only W1 and parts of W2 fall inside. Where it applies the charge is £18 per day as of 2 January 2026, running 07:00–18:00 Monday to Friday and 12:00–18:00 at weekends and on bank holidays, passed on at cost with no markup.
A national firm will send whoever is available, wherever they are based. We are based in Chiswick W4 and have operated exclusively in West and South West London since 2015. We know which Kensington streets require parking suspensions a week in advance. We know not to book moves on Twickenham Stadium international days. We know the Hammersmith gyratory and the Wandsworth roundabout. We know which mews in Notting Hill are too narrow for a Luton van. This accumulated knowledge means moves run faster, with fewer delays — and without the improvisation you pay for when a non-local company works out the area as they go.
Yes — we regularly move items to and from storage facilities across West London, including Safestore, Big Yellow and other local units. Whether you need to clear a property into storage, retrieve items and deliver to a new address, or do a full move via a storage unit, we can handle the whole job. Just let us know the facility name and unit access details when you book.
Yes — same-day moves across West London are possible when our schedule allows. Given our Chiswick W4 base, we can reach most West London addresses within 15 to 30 minutes, making us one of the fastest-responding removal companies in the area. Call us on 07897 383022 and we will tell you honestly whether we can accommodate your timing on the day.
£50/hr for 1 man + van and £65/hr for 2 men + van, minimum 2 hours — £110 and £130 — then £32.50 per additional 30 minutes. We are based in Chiswick W4, which is inside West London rather than a depot on the other side of the city, so there is no travel surcharge and the clock starts when we arrive at your door.
Yes. London Moverz carries £2 million public liability cover and £25,000 goods in transit insurance, so your belongings are covered from the moment we start loading until the last item is placed at your new address. Managed blocks in Kensington, Hammersmith and the White City developments typically require a Certificate of Insurance naming the building before letting a removal firm past reception — tell us which building when you book and we will send it to the managing agent ahead of the day.
Parking suspension notice periods vary more than people expect, and they set your timeline. Ealing is the most forgiving in London at 3 working days, though applying 7 working days ahead drops the cost from £50 to £39 per bay per day. Hammersmith & Fulham wants 8 days counted in calendar days, so weekends eat your notice rather than extending it. Hounslow and Richmond both want 10 working days. Kensington and Chelsea want 10 full working days. We tell you which applies to your street when we quote.
For a straightforward residential street, 2 to 3 days is usually enough, and same-day is often possible given we are based in W4. If your street needs a bay suspension, work backwards from the council rather than from our diary — that means roughly a week in Ealing and closer to three weeks in Hounslow, Richmond or Kensington and Chelsea.
Call or WhatsApp 07897 383022, or use the booking form. We confirm availability within the hour, 7 days a week from 7am to 9pm. Have both addresses, the floor and lift situation at each end, a rough idea of volume and your preferred date ready and we can usually quote on the spot.
For weekend moves in West London, we recommend booking at least one week in advance as demand is high — particularly at month end when tenancy agreements change over. For weekday moves, 2-3 days notice is usually sufficient. Same-day bookings are accepted when availability allows.
Yes, we operate from 7AM to 9PM, 7 days a week. Early morning starts are popular for customers who want to beat traffic on the A4, A316 and A40. Evening slots are also available for office moves that need to happen outside business hours. Just let us know your preferred time when booking.
Most local moves in West London are completed in 2–4 hours. We operate 7 days a week, 7AM–9PM, and can often accommodate same-day or next-day bookings.
Yes, London Moverz is fully insured. All moves in West London and across the capital are fully covered, giving you complete peace of mind.

About Our Service
London Moverz is based in Chiswick W4 — the heart of West London — and has been carrying out removal services across the W, TW and UB postcode areas since 2015. We are not a national franchise or a call centre operation that passes your job to the nearest available driver. We are a small, owner-operated West London removal company. The same experienced team that takes your call is the team that shows up on move day, with nearly a decade of accumulated knowledge of every area, every road and every property type across West London.
West London is one of the most varied removal markets in the country. Within a 10-mile radius of our Chiswick base you can find: the grand stucco townhouses of Kensington and Notting Hill, where the carry is long, the contents demand exceptional care and — contrary to what most removal firms tell you — a parking suspension is often not required at all; the Victorian terraces of Acton, Hammersmith and Shepherd's Bush, where narrow hallways and steep stairs are the daily challenge; the 1930s semis of Ealing, Hanwell and Greenford, where access is easy and moves are efficient; the riverside apartments of Chiswick, Brentford and Putney, where building management coordination is critical; and the industrial-to-residential conversions of Park Royal and White City, where the rules are different again. No two postcodes are the same — and knowing all of them is what separates a local company like ours from a national operator.
Three roads dominate West London's traffic picture and directly affect every removal we carry out. The A4 — the Great West Road — runs through the heart of our territory from Hammersmith to Heathrow, and is severely congested during rush hours; we always load and unload before 7:30am or after 9:30am when the A4 is involved. The A40 Western Avenue forms the northern boundary of the W postcode area, carrying heavy commercial traffic towards Park Royal, Greenford and the M40; early morning starts are essential for jobs near the A40. The A316 Richmond Road connects Chiswick, Kew, Twickenham and Richmond, and while generally less congested than the A4 or A40, it can slow significantly at the Chiswick roundabout and Twickenham during peak hours. Our drivers know all three roads intimately and always plan the most efficient route around them.
All West London postcodes fall within the expanded Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), which has covered all London boroughs since August 2023. Our van is fully ULEZ-compliant — there is no ULEZ surcharge on any West London move. On the Congestion Charge: virtually all West London postcodes are outside the CC zone, and it is worth being precise because this is the most misreported fact in London removals. The zone's western boundary runs along Park Lane and Edgware Road — not the A3220 or the West Cross Route, which are considerably further west. That means W3, W4, W5, W6, W7, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12, W13 and W14, together with every TW and UB postcode, sit outside it. So do Chelsea SW3 and Fulham SW6, despite how central they feel: the Western Extension that once covered Kensington, Chelsea and Notting Hill ran from 2007 until it was scrapped in January 2011, and the boundary has not moved since. Only W1 and parts of W2 fall inside.
Where the charge does apply, it rose to £18 per day on 2 January 2026, its first increase since 2020. Two changes catch people out. It now runs at weekends — 07:00–18:00 Monday to Friday and 12:00–18:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays — so a Saturday afternoon move into the West End is chargeable while the same job finishing before noon is not. And it is billed per calendar day, so a job running past midnight counts twice. We pass it on at cost with zero markup and confirm the position for your specific route at booking. If a removal company adds a Congestion Charge to a move within West London, or from West London to Kensington, Chelsea or Fulham, question it.
West London spans five parking authorities, and the difference between them is far larger than most people expect — nearly four times, for the same bay on the same day. Here is what one bay for one day actually costs, taken from each council's own published fees and checked in August 2026.
Two patterns are worth pulling out. First, the gap is mostly admin fees rather than the bay itself. Richmond's £150.10 lands before you have reserved anything; Ealing charges none at all. Second, the notice period matters as much as the price. Ealing will take an application three working days out; Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea and Richmond all want ten. If you are moving on short notice in West London, which side of the Ealing boundary you are on changes what is possible, not just what it costs.
The most useful thing we can tell you, though, is that most West London moves need no permit at all. Across the 1930s semis of Ealing, Hanwell, Greenford and Perivale, and the wider streets of Hounslow, Feltham and Hayes, there is almost always a legal loading point within a few metres of the door — particularly before 9am. And in Kensington and Chelsea, RBKC's own guidance states you do not have to suspend a bay to carry out a domestic removal, provided loading stays continuous and you cause no obstruction. We assess this on every booking and will tell you when the answer is to spend nothing.
One thing no removal company can do for you: apply on your behalf. Every one of these councils issues the suspension against the property address and the vehicle registration, so it has to come from you as the occupier. Any firm promising to arrange it is describing something they are not able to do. Send us the van registration when you book and we will make sure the correct vehicle is named on whatever you have applied for.
