A one-bedroom flat move takes 3–4 hours (£195–£260). A three-bedroom house move typically takes 5–7 hours (£325–£455). Industry averages put London house removal costs at £506–£1,152 for a standard local move. We have no fuel surcharges, no stair fees and no weekend premiums.

In most inner London Controlled Parking Zones — Kensington, Hammersmith, Fulham, Battersea, Clapham and others — a formal parking suspension is required to legally park a removal van outside your property. Notice periods vary by borough — Ealing accepts 3 working days, while Wandsworth, Richmond, Hounslow and Kensington and Chelsea require 10. Suspensions typically cost £50–£100 depending on the borough. We assess parking at both ends of every house removal booking and walk you through the application if needed.

For weekend and end-of-month moves — the most in-demand slots in London — we recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance. For moves in CPZ areas where a parking suspension is needed, 2 weeks is ideal. Weekday moves generally only need 2–3 days' notice. Yes. We can disassemble IKEA wardrobes, bed frames, shelving units and other flat-pack furniture before moving and reassemble at the new property. This is charged at our standard hourly rate as it adds time to the job. We recommend disassembling large items yourself before move day if possible, as it typically takes less time when done without the clock running.

This is one of the most common surprises during London house removals, particularly with large corner sofas and IKEA PAX wardrobes in Victorian houses with narrow stairwells. We always recommend measuring your largest items and narrowest doorframes before move day. Options when items won't fit include removing door frames (quick and reversible), hoisting items over balconies (common in modern London developments), or professional sofa disassembly. Yes. Many high-end apartment buildings in Kensington, Notting Hill, Chelsea, Battersea Power Station, Nine Elms and new-build developments across London require a Certificate of Insurance before allowing a removal company on site. We provide COI documentation as standard — just mention the building's requirement at booking and we will have it prepared for you.

As a rule: a studio or one-bedroom flat with straightforward access works with 1 man + van; two bedrooms and above is faster and safer with 2 men + van. Two movers working in tandem are usually more than twice as fast as one, so on an hourly rate the larger team is often the cheaper option overall for a house. Yes. Split moves are common when completion dates do not line up — we can load one day, keep the van secure overnight or move to storage, and deliver the following day. There is a charge for the overnight hold, which we confirm upfront. If your dates have a gap of more than a night, moving via a storage unit usually works out cheaper than holding the van.

Yes, and it is included in the hourly rate rather than charged separately. We bring the tools. Flat-pack wardrobes, bed frames, bunk beds, desks and shelving are all routine. The one caution is older flat-pack — particleboard furniture that has been assembled once does not always survive a second assembly, and we will tell you honestly on the day if we think an item will not go back together.

London Moverz carries £2 million public liability cover and £25,000 goods in transit insurance, so your belongings are covered throughout the move. This covers loss or damage in transit. It does not cover items you have packed yourself where the damage is due to inadequate packing, nor does it cover cash, jewellery or documents — carry those personally. Yes, 7 days a week from 7am to 9pm, at the same hourly rate — no weekend premium and no bank holiday surcharge. Sundays are genuinely easier in London: roads are quieter and parking is more forgiving. Note that the Congestion Charge does apply at weekends and on bank holidays between 12pm and 6pm, so an early Sunday start avoids it entirely if your route crosses the zone.

The single biggest factor is volume, so the fastest route to an accurate figure is a short video walkthrough on WhatsApp — walk each room, open the wardrobes, show the loft or garage.
